Equipment/Uniforms
WYFA purchases and owns all equipment, uniforms, and jerseys. All registered football participants will receive a practice jersey, shoulder pads, football helmet, two (2) game jerseys (one Blue & one White jersey), two (2) pairs of integrated pad pants (one Blue & one White pair with pads), chin strap, mouthpiece and a pair of blue game socks before the first practice. The only thing necessary to purchase is an athletic cup (hard or soft) and a pair of football cleats (metal and screw in cleats are not allowed).
We refurbish and perform preventive maintenance/safety checks on our football equipment at the end of each season. Parents are responsible for all football equipment that WYFA issues to their athlete.
Football equipment will be issued on a designated night for each team. As long as your son or daughter has been registered, he/she will receive practice and game equipment. After the season, your head coach will notify you of the equipment turn in date and you are responsible for washing and cleaning all equipment and returning it to WYFA on the designated night for your team.
Uniform Colors
WYFA has various combinations of game day uniforms. Your head coach or team mom will tell you prior to game day what color combination to wear for the game. Please make sure your player(s) have the correct uniform for the game!
Lost, Damaged or Destroyed Items
Misplaced, lost, stolen, or damaged football equipment & uniforms (other than that which takes place during a game or practice) is the parent’s responsibility to replace. If uniforms or equipment is lost or destroyed, you will be responsible for purchasing and replacing any lost, damaged, or destroyed equipment or uniforms. Please contact your Head Coach if any item requires replacing.
At the end of the season, you will have the option to purchase one or both of your child’s football jerseys at a price of $40 per jersey if you prefer to do so. Otherwise, our players will be turning in all jerseys at the end of the season. If you wish to purchase your child’s jersey, bring a check or cash to equipment turn in night. Checks should be made payable to: “Wyoming Youth Football Association” and should given to the WYFA rep at your teams equipment turn in night, which is at the end of the season.
