About WYFA

Wyoming Youth Football Association (WYFA) is a non-profit charitable, volunteer led, organization located in Wyoming, Ohio. WYFA has been a successful football & cheerleading organization since youth football and cheerleading were re-established in 2003 by Andy Tepe, Jon Marty, Tim Marty, Jody Hampton and others who spearheaded the return of a youth football and cheerleading program to Wyoming.

We are first and foremost a character building organization teaching the fundamentals of football and cheerleading as a means to develop better sons and daughters; brothers and sisters; classmates and students; and productive members of society who are excited to give back to their communities.

WYFA offers a quality character building football and cheerleading program for young athletes between the ages of 5 - 11.  Our coaches and coordinators are “Mentor Leaders” first and foremost, and they consistently produce competitive championship football teams and cheerleading squads.  WYFA’s coaches teach the fundamentals of football and cheerleading while emphasizing positive life lessons based on their life experiences and the teachings & principles of successful High School, College, and Professional Football Coaches.  We teach our young athletes to be winners in the game of life by “Living for Others”, and we encourage them to be great citizens.

WYFA is a member of the “The Southern Ohio Youth Football Association, Inc.” league (SOYFAI…www.soyfai.com).  SOYFAI is a very competitive youth football league and we compete against football programs such as: Colerain, Reading, Harrison, and Forest Hills etc…  WYFA’s football and cheerleading programs are managed and operated by the WYFA Board and numerous parent volunteers.  WYFA is independent of the Wyoming Recreation Center.  WYFA’s affiliation with the Wyoming Recreation Center is specific to equipment storage, field usage, and registration management.

Our Mission Statement:

The Wyoming Youth Football Association (WYFA) provides boys and girls in Wyoming and our surrounding communities with an age appropriate football and cheerleading program. We select head coaches based upon their knowledge of the game, their character, and we support them in their management efforts. Teamwork is encouraged over personal glory. Most importantly, WYFA guards the safety of our youth and we promote a high level of sportsmanship in defeat as well as in victory. We will teach our players and cheerleaders to respect themselves, their teammates, coaches, family and the community at large.
