Bryan Richardson, or Coach Bryan as he is affectionately known throughout the community, has been coaching with WYFA for 6 years.  He started with a group of 7 yr old players when WYFA began in 2003, and coached those kids as they matriculated through the program.  He is most proud of his first team because they made it to the league Super Bowl game 4 times and won the game in back to back seasons, once boasting a record of 16-0 as 10 yr olds, and 15 and 1 as 11 yr olds.  Coach Bryan served as the Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach.  Coach Bryan believes that coaching football is a privilege and an opportunity to speak into the hearts and souls of our young men and women.  He often says, “You may not be able to tell me what your 3rd grade teacher said, but I bet you can remember what your little league football coach told you.” Coach Bryan wants to see his players become leaders in their schools; in their homes; their families; their communities; and in the game of life.  Coach Bryan has also coached baseball and basketball in Wyoming.

After graduating his first team, Coach Bryan returned to become the head coach of a group of 7 yr old players in 2010, of which many of the 32 players had never played football before.  Coach Bryan and his coaches believe that the game of football is learned in practice and has a strict and regimented practice schedule.   “I often tell my parents to invite their family members to practice if they want to see their kid perform.”  The 7 yr old 2010 team made the league playoffs and the coaches are looking to build upon that experience during the upcoming season.  Coach Bryan is assisted by Coach Jon, Coach Mao, Couch Drew, Coach Scott and Coach Chad.

Coach Bryan has also served as Secretary, Treasurer, and is now serving as President of WYFA.  He often refers to himself as the “Chief Servant” of the organization, because he is here to help every kid and parent in our organization in the best way he can.
